Moving

Posted on Jun 9th, 2008 by Chad : Student for Life Chad
Well, we moved into a new apartment last weekend. Everything is still in boxes and kind of a mess because I worked all week last week and I had drill this weekend. Especially recently it seems like I have a million things that I really need to get do or should be doing. From homework, to working out, to getting some sleep, to getting things done for the border patrol job I am applying for, to working, to unpacking, to spending time with my wife, to taking care of the dogs (walking, playing, training, etc.). It is quite overwhelming and I have to admit I could be getting a little more done, but everytime I do something I get so overwhelmed by the thought of everything else I have to do that I take a break to get my mind off things and end up breaking for too long.
I am trying to just do things in order that they must be done, and then getting the other things done (dogs, unpacking, etc) as I have time in between everything else. We need to get a dehumidifier for our new apartment because it is all concrete and traps all of the moisture inside, making it quite uncomfortable.
Well, not a lot else going on right now worth talking about. Time to get starting on the endless list of things to do today.

I just happened across this quote on someone's page and I love it. So I thought I would post it for others to see and so I can always find it/remember it.

"Buddhism has the characteristics of what would be expected in a cosmic religion for the future: it transcends a personal God, avoids dogmas and theology; it covers both the natural & spiritual, and it is based on a religious sense aspiring from the experience of all things, natural and spiritual, as a meaningful unity."

Forgot about this for a while

Posted on May 23rd, 2008 by Chad : Student for Life Chad
Life has been busy, I haven't been doing much online in a while and I forgot about this site. I hope to update things at least weekly from now on.
A lot has happened since I have last been here, I have gotten married, honeymooned in St. Thomas, switched my major, been trying to get a job with the Department of Homeland Security, and many other things involving just life.
Right now my wife and I are getting ready to move next week into a new apartment down the road from where we are now (more about that later). Which reminds me we need to start packing and cleaning asap. I am sick of my job because they keep messing with my schedule (not giving me days off that I request and need off, cutting my hours, changing the hours I work in a day, etc.), also I am not making enough money and can barely pay all of our bills right now. I have come to a decision today to start looking as much as possible for a different job, I am willing to do just about anything other than work in the retail/service industry. I need a regular M-F job preferably not working nights. That stability alone would make my life a lot easier and allow me to hang out with my wife more, work out, and plan things.
Well I have to finish up some homework and try to get the motivation to go run and then get some rest before I go to work tonight.
